Photographers always find these "About" pages very hard to write. Really we just want to meet people and take gorgeous photos! We always try so hard to avoid clichés about how we've always had a camera to hand, and we have a house full of boxes of photos. I like to think I'm different. Ok, I have always had a camera to hand, and I could probably build an extra bedroom with the number of boxes of photos I have, but it's my experiences and the memories in my heart that make me unique. The memory of my first kiss at an outdoor activity centre, sitting on the edge of the grand canyon during a road trip across America, spending a weekend in Singapore on my own just to watch the Grand Prix. All these unique moments and many more have influenced me and fuelled my passion for creating 'wow' images that will be treasured for generations to come. I'll be honest, photography satisfies my desire to collect gadgets too. The lenses, flashes, remotes and all the other toys that we need to take stunning photos are a brilliant excuse to have a new gadget nearly every week. Its an expensive hobby but I don't really need a room full of clothes, or even a fridge full of food! It also gives me an excuse to bring people around to show off my fish and make them coffee, which is really just an excuse for me to watch my fish and have another coffee. I’m nosey too. I can’t wait to hear people’s stories, how they met, what they do together, how he proposed to her, what they are planning for their wedding (and not just because I’m looking for ideas for my own wedding!). It’s a huge privilege to be allowed into a family’s life, to see what makes them tick and to have a laugh with them and their children, all while creating an amazing collection of memories that will be treasured for decades and generations to come.
