I've been a wedding photographer now for five years and in that time, I've captured some amazing big days! From 13th Century castles and manor houses, to the tops of lighthouses, no two weddings are ever the same, and each is filled with little touches that reflect the couples that organise them. I mostly shoot weddings in the North East and Scotland from my home in Northumberland, but I have a second-base in Lancashire too, and do shoot weddings all over the country, including Yorkshire, Cumbria and The Lake District, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire. I also travel abroad. For the past two years, I've been training an apprentice, Caitlin Goodall, who has blossomed into an amazing wedding photographer. This year, she will be taking on weddings of her own under the JPRShah Photography brand as a trusted member of the team. I'm a recommended supplier for many outstanding venues, including Capheaton Hall and Langley Castle in Northumberland, Ripley Castle in Yorkshire, Dalston Hall in Cumbria, Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh, and The Ashes Barns in Staffordshire. My work has also been featured in numerous blogs and magazines, including Brides Up North, Belle Bridal, The Scottish Wedding Directory, and Pink Weddings Magazine. I was also a Regional Finalist in The 2018 Wedding Industry Awards for Best Wedding Photographer North East & Yorkshire and my photographs have won numerous Wedisson awards. Well, what can I say about myself? I have an axe, a kilt, and a beard. I love being around people, I have a wicked sense of humour, and I almost certainly will flirt with your mum. I like prosecco, my favourite animal is the brown bear, and I love being outside foraging in the forest, just like a bear. I like Dim-Sum, I smoke shisha, I wear a bandanna, and I love chopping wood and watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies (not at the same time!). I'm at my happiest though, being out in the world with a camera in my hand, or playing dinosaurs with my son. Want to know even more? Then lets have a coffee and some cake!
