Reportage or documentary photography is about recording what happens, as it happens without interfering with or influencing events. Trust in your photographer is vital to allow them to work in this way as for much of the day you won't be aware of their presence, and they will be free to do their best work. I live and love documentary photography and tailor my services to exactly what you want. Please have a look through my work and don't hesitate to get in touch to check my availability and tell me about your ideal wedding package.
Look no further than James Robertshaw for excellent reportage photography and a flexible, friendly service from a lovely chap! James understood exactly what we wanted and delivered so much more than we could have ever hoped for. We not only love his photography, but also the way James works: We agreed very flexible start and finish times and opted for no posed or staged photographs. The result was a perfect picture story-book of our special day. James obviously worked so hard throughout the day and well into the night, and we hardly even noticed him popping up with his camera and kit!
We need to organise another party now for another excuse to have the best photos we have ever seen. Thank you, James.
The photos that James took at our wedding are an absolute and true reflection of our amazing day. We had a small, low key, relaxed and family focused wedding and the photos that James took captured this perfectly. Nothing staged, nothing posed, nothing obtrusive. James wasn't in our faces with his camera but our photos were up close and personal, intimate conversations captured, smiles and laughter that would have been missed in traditional group wedding photos. We are so happy with the book that James produced for us and would readily recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer who is prepared to try something different and produce truly unique wedding photographs.
