Mark Leonard (that's me) offers natural, creative reportage wedding photography throughout Bristol, the South West and UK. Providing a friendly, professional yet unobtrusive approach, I aim to document the full story of your day and present a stunning portfolio of images that captures all the fun, emotion and excitement of the occasion. My approach to weddings has developed over the years toward a more relaxed photojournalistic, or 'reportage' style of photography, using a mixture of available light and a touch of creative flash. I shoot unobtrusive candid photos throughout the day with as little manipulation as possible, leaving you to enjoy more time with each other and your family and friends. Some of the most expressive photographs at your wedding will be those which are captured in the moment – natural and unposed. Those moments can happen at any time too, not just for the eight hours you have your photographer penciled in for, so for that reason I always offer wedding photography with full day coverage as standard. A typical day includes 10-12 hours of photography and sometimes even longer, so there’s no need to worry about hourly limits, or if your day falls behind schedule. I start with the anticipation of the morning preparations as you’re both getting ready and finish late as you party into the night, ensuring I’m there to capture all the moments you wanted capturing, and all the little things you didn’t know had happened. After your wedding you’ll receive a disc of 350-500 carefully edited images, along with a reproduction license so you’re free to print and distribute your photos to friends and family as much as you please. For late bookings, midweek weddings or half day coverage, just get in touch for a bespoke quote.
Having reviewed our wedding photographs several times now, we both want to thank you so much for the fantastic photographs you took on what was such a cold (but beautiful) December morning! The photographs are great and we both love how you have captured the natural moments of everyone and everything present. It was a joy to look back at the pictures of family and friends; seeing things for the first time that we were completely unaware of on the day. After you had left us for the morning several family members commented on how they had presumed you were one of our friends, which can only testify to your friendly and welcoming approach.
We are so glad that we chose Mark as our wedding photographer. He captured our wedding day perfectly and we are so pleased with all of the photos. There were so many great shots from the day that it was hard to choose the best ones for an album!
From the first meeting with Mark, to the pre-wedding shoot and then to the wedding itself, he was so professional and really helped our day run smoothly-he has endless amounts of patience too and no request is too much for him! We would definitely recommend him to others. Thank you for making our day so special; we will always treasure our album as a reminder of an unforgettable day.
I met Mark randomly in the street as I was walking back from a vintage photoshoot with a friend. He overheard us nattering about weddings and he stopped to ask whether I had found a photographer. And what a good little find Mark is!
He made us feel so comfortable and totally fitted in with our guests - in fact we had chatted so much by then that indeed he felt like a guest to us but he worked the whole time. Mark is a genuine gentlemen with lots of integrity that is organised and on time - last two very difficult to find in men never in 'creative' types (wink). Joking aside, these qualities will lessen the stress at what can be a stressful time organising a wedding. Most importantly, Mark's photos are fantastic. We loved every one of them and he managed to capture the most beautiful moments with our little boy. So precious!
Choose Mark and you will definitely be in safe hands.
